Popular anime online RPG Genshin Impact has launched its first map expansion which adds the new Dragonspire zone. The update also introduces other features such as in-game events and a new status effect.

Developer Mihoyo have released a fresh update for their online RPG Genshin Impact. The update is live on all platforms including PC and PlayStation 4.

If you regularly play the anime action RPG you are probably familiar with the additions that are included in the 1.2 update.

The biggest one is certainly a brand new region or zone to be more precise. Named Dragonspine, it's a chilly new area so you better start grinding some Pyro artifacts quickly.

The update also brings several other additions such as a chilly new status effect, a new in-game event and other changes.

Dragonspine zone brings "Sheer Cold" status effect which will take away your health if you accumulate too much by staying out in the sub-zero climate.

This will certainly add another dimension to the zone's puzzles and quests so make sure you are well prepared before you go on an adventure in this new area.

The update also brings The Chalk Prince and the Dragon event where you can earn Festering Desire, a brand new weapon.

The event will run throughout the rest of December during which you can complete challenges and unlock new special abilities.
