Elden Ring DLC Shadow of Erdtree is one of the most anticipated releases at the moment but sadly, we still don't know anything about it as From Software have been radio silent since the official announcement.
During the latest earnings report today, From Software's parent company Kadokawa provided a tiny but encouraging update on the DLC development.
When asked about the release date for Shadow of Erdtree DLC, Kadokawa heads stated that they don't have the release date just yet but development is going "smoothly" suggesting that we'll hear more in the coming months.
If we had to guess, we'd say that a new announcement could be set for The Game Awards 2023 (TGA) show, which airs on December 7, 2023.
From Software and TGA host Geoff Keighley had a pretty good relationship before when Elden Ring gameplay was revealed at TGA so it certainly wouldn't come as a surprise if the studio decided to once again showcase big news at this globally popular show.
Hopefully, we get some proper information about the DLC soon. Some details on new locations and the story would be nice and gameplay footage is always welcomed so fingers crossed that From Sofware are working on these as we write this.
Elden Ring is available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox.
