PlayGround Games have hosted another episode of Forza Horizon 5 Let's Go! show, where they talked about the new biomes in the game, which truly look spectacular.

In Forza Horizon 5, we will get to explore the stunning landscapes, cities and ruins of Mexico and in the latest dev video blog, PlayGround Games gave us a closer look at these new locations that have been carefully recreated and researched by the devs.

Forza Horizon 5 will have eleven distinct and unique biomes and to make these look as close to the real locations as possible, Playground Games employed techniques such as photogrammetry, capturing the images at high resolutions and then creating the in-game assets from these shots.

"Our team collects reference from the location and creates concept images that highlight the beauty and unique detail for each biome. We employ techniques such as photogrammetry to recreate the environment with precision accuracy," says Don Arceta, Art Director for Forza Horizon 5.

Playground Games also confirm that seasons mechanic will be returning, adding a new layer of complexity than previous games. Each of the eleven biomes will transition through the seasons differently. For example, spring means the rainy season in the jungles and farmland of Mexico, while summer could bring intense tropical thunderstorms along the coasts.

Those who loved the snow in Forza Horizon 4 will probably be disappointed to hear that it doesn't snow much in Mexico. The only area in the game where you'll see snow is the Volcano, which is also the highest point on the entire map.
