Fortnite: Battle Royale has been making steady progress on all fronts and Epic has most certainly not forgotten about its iOS fans. Fortnite has since been overtaken by PUBG on App Store but the devs once again take the patient approach.

Epic's recent tweet revealed that the goofiest of survival shooters is now officially out of testing and will be available to all iOS users who can run Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Fortnite iOS supports iPhone SE, 6S and above, iPad Mini 4, Air 2 and higher. iPad Air and Minis lower than 4th iteration are not supported and the same goes for iPod Touch.

The company's announcement of Fortnite: Battle Royale for Android is still valid, even though there's no news on the exact date. So, if you're an Android user, you may want to sign up on Epic's website and ensure you're notified by the company.

You may recall that Fortnite has shot up to the top of App Store's free games chart in less than a day since launch, a testament to the game's popularity. In fact, if it was down to general media coverage lately, it seems Fortnite would wipe the floor with PUBG, but their numbers still seem a bit apart.

Namely, PUBG overtook the title of the most popular free game on App Store also in days after launch, suggesting the Battle Royale genre isn't really fully decided on who its king is. In fact, Fortnite seems to be the third free game on the App Store at the moment, but this is normal since world and dog probably downloaded it so far.

All in all, Fortnite: Battle Royale and PUBG seem to be set on duking it out across several platforms and who are we to complain. After all, it seems that both games enjoy a bit of healthy competition, prompting both developers to do better by its Battle Royale loving hordes of fans.

With Fortnite iOS out of the beta, we'll see whether PUBG has the muscle to withstand Epic's borderline scary update tempo.
