Fortnite's new Blitz mode is finally here and it seems to be right up our alley. While we've noticed the latest patches taming the match dynamics somewhat, Fortnite Blitz looks to reinstate Fortnite's old hectic carnage, and then some.
Blitz mode throws Fortnite players into an already formed circle, ready to shrink almost as soon as you hit the ground. We guess you'll really hit the ground running, literally.
With Fortnite brawls lasting mere 15 minutes, the mode favours quick and explosive play style, just the kind that fans of Epic's Battle Royale flavour prefer. In fact, my first three drops involved some great shoot outs with two or more enemies.
Epic Games
Epic offset the time limit with a whole lotta loot laying around the Fortnite island. Legendary, epic - you name it and it's there. In fact, you'll be up to full Fortnite fighting capacity in no time, although your enemies will be as well, so take that into account.
It is said that the new Fortnite mode favours mobile devices, which would be understandable seeing as how the company recently rolled out it , with plans for Android version soon.

However, yours truly tends to prefer quicker, more arcadey Fortnite matches, which is why I fell in love with Epic's Battle Royale title. Having said that, I was beginning to worry about what I firmly believe was slowing of Fortnite's tempo. The game was never the strategic camp-your-way-out of it type of game anyway.
Now, my above assessment is not completely scientific, meaning I didn't take measurements or anything of the sort. However, I play Fortnite a lot and some of my recent matches have dragged on uncharacteristically, and sometimes pretty uneventfully, which was never the case before. Either way, Fortnite's new mode is definitely welcome to stay in my book.
