In the latest content update for Fortnite, Epic Games introduced a new close quarter weapon - Burst SMG - and Solid Gold Duos LTM to battle royale. As always, Fortnite Creative and Save the World modes also got a couple of new additions.

Just like every week, Epic Games have released another content update for the world's most popular game - Fortnite. In this week's update, v9.10, the devs have a couple of minor additions which include a new weapon, limited time mode and a couple of other stuff for Fortnite Creative and Save the World.

The most notable addition is Burst SMG, a new close quarter weapon that comes in Common, Uncommon and Rare variants. The new weapon fires a quick 4 round burst and deals 23, 24 and 25 damage.

Headshot multiplier is set at 1.75x and the gun's magazine packs 24 rounds of Light Ammo. You can find Burst SMG on Floor Loot, Chests and Vending Machines. Burst SMG will replace Suppressed Submachine Gun, which has been vaulted.

The new content update also brings fresh changes to Limited Time Mode Rotation. Solid Gold Duos LTM has been reintroduced and will join Unvaulted Squads and Close Encounters Squads.

In Solid Gold you fight using only Legendary weapons, Unvaulted Squads let you use only items that are vaulted in standard modes, while in Close Encounters you battle others using Shotguns and Jetpacks.

Fortnite Creative also got a couple of additions. New Ground Floors and Mine Theme are now available along with Burst SMG and several new galleries and prefabs.

Save the World mode got a new Hero - Fossile Southie. Fossile's standard perk is named Saurian Focus, which regenerates 4 energy per second while the shield is depleted. Commander Perk is Saurian Focus+ and it regenerates 12 energy per second.

There's also a new Wargames simulation named Hexed. The Heroes are cursed once the simulation begins, and must activate ancient statues to remove the effects. The damaging effect of the curse will ramp up over time and the curse will also return after it's cleansed.
