In the latest content update for Fortnite, Epic Games are introducing Air Strike item, which as the name suggests, calls in a flurry of missiles from above. Also, High Explosive Squads, Sneaky Silencer Solos and other LTMs have returned.

Another content update for Fortnite has arrived, and just like previous two, it's pretty small with just a couple of new additions. The highlight of v9.30 Content Update #3 is the introduction of a brand new item named Air Strike.

As you may notice from the name, Air Strike is all about sending a flurry of missiles from above onto the enemies. It's a Legendary variant item that's basically a canister of coloured smoke that calls in an air strike.

The missiles will start raining down soon after the canister comes to rest and they aim for random points within a 9-metre radius of the thrown object. A total of 20 missiles are spawned and each one of them has an explosion radius of 3.5 metres.

Missiles deal 75 damage to players and 200 damage to structures and can be found from Floor Loot, Supply Drops, Vending Machines and Llamas. You can stack a maximum of 2 items in your inventory.

On top of Air Strike, Epic Games also added new limited time modes to the rotation. High Explosive Squads where players only battle out using explosive weapons is back, just like Sneaky Silencers Solos where only silenced weapons are allowed. You can find the full list of new LTMs down below:

  • High Explosives Squads
  • Sneaky Silencers Solo
  • Classic Squads
  • Solid Gold Duos
  • Catch Squads
  • Blitz Squads

There's also a couple of new additions in Fortnite Creative. There are new floor galleries and new Car Gallery B - which has more car colour variants.

In Save the World mode, Epic Games added De-Atomizer 9000 that launches an energy projectile that explodes and shoots 15 sub-projectiles out in all directions.

The devs also confirmed that they are aware of the issue that Team Rumble's elimination goal is still 150 on mobile and Switch platforms. The fix for this will arrive in the next update.
