The Witcher 3 mod support allows for some spectacular and gorgeos-looking mods on PC and the latest one is one of these eye candies. Named True Fires, it completely revamps all fires in the game, their shadows and lighting.
The Witcher 3 is one of our favourite games of all time and even five years after its release, we find ourselves hunting Leshens in Skellige or tracking down Whoreson Junior in Oxenfurt. With a couple of mods, this five-year-old game can look better than some modern AAA titles and the latest mod, named True Fires is another visual overhaul that will make The Witcher 3 even prettier.
"True Fires is a complete overhaul of fires, lights & shadows of the main game and HoS including numerous fixes. It drastically increases draw distances of fires, lights and related meshes and significantly improves shadows. It also includes most of the fires from Hyadum27's fantastic "New Fires" mod and, additionally, adds brand new ones," it is written in the official mod description.
As you can see in the screenshot above, Novigrad looks drastically different than in the Vanilla version of the game thanks to the mod. The new light sources can be seen from a far away, making Novigrad look even more alive than before.
Additionally, this mod contains a bunch of fixes related to fires, meshes, light sources and shadows in general. The modder sw3dg1n says that the mod also incorporates quest-related improvements and fixes as well as several additional improvements and changes related to fire sources which do not fall into these categories.
You can check the video comparison of the mod below and for more screenshots check out the official mod page , where you can also download the mod.
The Witcher 3 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. The mod is sadly exclusive for PC.
