Sony have finally announced their big event for this year, where they plan to showcase the upcoming first-party and third-party titles. Here's five games that we're hopeful to see at the show.
God of War Ragnarok
This one is pretty safe. SIE Santa Monica's next title is eagerly anticipated is hotly anticipated and since Sony have not shown it since that logo reveal last year, it's pretty safe to assume that Kratos' next adventure will indeed headline the PlayStation Showcase. We would love to see some gameplay and perhaps a release date.
Gran Turismo 7
Another PlayStation Studios title that will certainly appear at the show is Gran Turismo 7. We haven't seen much since the official reveal and given that this is a 2022 game, it would be very surprising if Sony don't plan to show us more at this show. We have already seen some gameplay last year so new footage and potentially a release date probably are not too unrealistic.
Forspoken
Square Enix's next open-world action-adventure Forspoken was officially revealed at Sony's last show and will be PlayStation console exclusive on launch, which makes it a lock for this show. A gameplay demo is what we would love to see since the first and the second trailer, did not really explain what the game is actually about.
Pragmata
The one that I'm personally excited to see. Capcom's mysterious title looked pretty impressive at the PlayStation show last year and we haven't heard much from the devs since then. The game has also been delayed to 2023 so it's possible we may not see it at the upcoming show but we're hopeful that Capcom have something in store.
Hogwarts Legacy
Avalanche Software upcoming action RPG that Harry Potter fans are eagerly anticipating is another strong contender for the PlayStation Showcase lineup. It's another 2022 title so a gameplay trailer is expected. As for the release date, we doubt Avalanche will lock it this early since they already had to delay the game in 2021.
