Larian Studios have decided to give out more free stuff, just in case someone wasn't happy with the bang for the buck that Divinity: Original Sin 2 offered. There will be several Gift Bags coming out in the future and the first one is here.
Divinity: Original Sin 2 is one of the highest rated games on Steam, Metacritic and just about anywhere else you look - and rightfully so. The game offers a ton of content that will fill tens of your hours with actually interesting activities as opposed to chores in huge worlds that so many modern games offer.
On top of that, the game was released a year and a half ago and Larian Studios are still supporting it. The latest update brought the first Gift Bag to owners of the game. It contains several cosmetic items Larian created in cooperation with Fool's Theory and Anshar Studios.
These include new faces for each race, additional hairstyles and more facial features when creating a character. Players can alter their existing characters by visiting the Magic Mirror aboard the Lady Vengeance, so there is no need to start the game over just because you liked a new cosmetic option.
According to Larian Studios, more Gift Bags will be coming over the course of 2019. Each of them will be filled with "treats" that will "continue to enrich" the adventures in Rivellon. There is currently no concrete information on what exactly they might be holding but Larian did state they would reveal the contents soon.
Accompanying the Gift Bag, the same update fixed the issues when trying to fast-travel to Lady Vengeance. Sir Lora should now correctly absorb Source and some audio and visual glitches should be gone as well.
Unfortunately, the goods news came mere hours before the 35 per cent discount on Steam ended, but it is possible GOG will have the next sale on Divinity: Original Sin 2, provided you didn't manage to snatch the game sooner. Considering 94 per cent players gave it positive reviews on Steam and the average critic score on Metacritic turned out to be 93 out of 100, it is fair to say the game is not something you should miss out on, provided you like turn based tactics RPGs.
