It looks like we'll have to wait until June 2021 to see Elden Ring. Insider Jeff Grubb, who previously stated that the game could be shown by the end of March now says it's unlikely that we will see anything this month.
From Software's upcoming action RPG is one of the most anticipated games of the last couple of years but despite that, the developers are yet to show us an in-game trailer or gameplay footage. Elden Ring fans hoped that the game could be shown this month since reliable insider Jeff Grubb hinted several times that we could be getting something "by the end of March".
In December 2020, Grubb asked Elden Ring fans to stay patient since they won't have to wait for "months and months and months". Fast forward to March and it seems that Elden Ring won't be shown before June 2021 when publishers plan to host their E3 replacement shows.
In his latest "Summer Game Mess" list, Jeff Grubb did not include Elden Ring, suggesting that the potential reveal is now off the table. Grubb clarified this in his recent video, which you can check out below:
"I am removing it [Elden Ring by the end of March prediction] because I am less certain and I am less certain because the leak might have messed things up a little bit," Grubb said. "But I still think things are happening, things are coming together."
Grubb also adds that if Bandai Namco want to show the game soon, then June and E3 are not that far away. "If I put it on the list I would expect it by E3."
Elden Ring is currently in development for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
