In the latest earnings call, From Software parent company Kadokawa Corp, state that Elden Ring may not release by March 2022-. The company expects lower revenue for this fiscal year, citing delays as one of the factors.

Elden Ring fans have been hoping to hear more about the game for quite some time now but sadly, the official info from From Software and publisher Bandai Namco is yet to arrive. Gaming events and shows like TGA 2020, State of Play and Xbox Game Showcase passed by but Elden Ring was nowhere to be seen.

Rumours about internal delays have been floating around the social media and gaming forums but this is not that surprising at all since it's obvious that the game has been delayed, at least once.

Today, we have some interesting bits from From Software parent company Kadokawa Corp's latest FY2021 earnings , where they state that a lower revenue is expected for the year ending March 31, 2022. They cite delayed releases as a factor.

This indicates that Elden Ring may not release before March 2022, or it's just not in the company's forecast due to the release date uncertainty, as Niko Partners Daniel Ahmad points out.

Again, this is not coming as a surprise since From Software are still to reveal fresh details about the game. If we had to guess, we would say that some sort of announcement will be featured on Xbox's E3 2021 show, with the potential release date set for Spring 2022.

In the best-case scenario, Elden Ring would release in late 2021, which many fans expect but at this very moment, nothing is officially confirmed or announced.
