Today, we got a bunch of new footage from the upcoming Xbox exclusive Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2, which is coming to Xbox Series X|S and PC via Game Pass next month.
Xbox shared a new blog post with a bunch of new details and stunning screenshots while some outlets also got to play the game for an hour and record bits of their own gameplay.
The previews are very positive as you'll see in the videos below, praising the level of realism Ninja Theory managed to achieve with the sound and visuals but also how haunting and immersive the whole experience is.
GamesRadar state in their preview that Hellblade 2 is "clearly on track to be one of the most important exclusives" that Xbox Series X|S had this generation, which is a bold claim as Microsoft released several big exclusives in Starfield, Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite.
Hellblade 2 new gameplay
Below, you'll find a couple of videos from IGN and Gamespot, who were lucky to play around 45 minutes of Hellblade 2 and record some new gameplay.
Both were impressed by the next-gen visuals and improved combat but also mentioned that the developers seemingly tried to refine the experience for the sequel, not reinvent the wheel.
All in all, these new details, gameplay and screenshots certainly make us even more excited to finally play Hellblade 2 and experience Senua's new adventure.
Hellblade 2 is a direct sequel to the first game and will follow Senua as she travels to gorgeously but also unsettling Iceland to find those responsible for the main event that occurs in the first game. Ninja Theory say the sequel is "a brand-new adventure that feels familiar and rooted in its ambition despite huge leaps in technology".
Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 is officially coming on May 21, 2024, to Game Pass for PC and Xbox Series X|S.
