Sony's latest earnings report suggests that they won't have many first-party titles in early 2024, besides the upcoming live service title Helldivers 2.

PlayStation Studios are working on various titles at the moment but it doesn't look like many of these games will be ready for shipping in the first half of 2024.

In their latest earnings report, Sony changed the forecast for Fiscal Year 2023 (FY2023) where they mention the "impact of changes in the launch dates of a portion of first-party titles"Sony did not namedrop any of these delayed titles so we can only guess which ones got internally delayed.

It's possible that Bungie's Marathon is one of these games. Recent reports suggested that the game was initially scheduled to launch in 2024 but due to layoffs, it won't be coming before 2025.

Naughty Dog's The Last of Us multiplayer project could be another one that suffered a major delay. Back in January, the studio promised to start revealing more details throughout 2023 but we got absolutely nothing, except from a couple of worrying reports, stating that this multiplayer project has been delayed.

Other than these two projects, it's hard to say which other early 2024 games got delayed. But despite these delays, PlayStation 5 should still have some strong exclusives in the first part of the next year.

These include the first-party project Helldivers 2, the open-world action adventure Rise of the Ronin, the anime RPG Granblue Fantasy Relink and there's obviously the heavy hitter Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.

The situation with first-party releases should probably improve in the second half of 2024, when PlayStation Studios are expected to start delivering their highly anticipated games, though, release dates for these are yet to be officially unveiled.

Hopefully, Sony will soon reveal their first-party roadmap, as the patience of PlayStation fans is starting to wear thin.
