Dying Light: The Beast is fast approaching, and the developers at Techland have been releasing a lot of game footage lately to introduce the players to their next big thing and what this action-horror RPG adventure brings when compared to previous games.
In the latest video, courtesy of IGN, Art Director Katarzyna Tarnacka-Polito talks us trough the games new visual style as well as the new setting for the game - The Castor Woods.
Tarnacka-Polito says Castor Woods was once a lovely region for those looking for a rest from urban environments, thanks to its dense forests, snowy mountains and cosy towns at riverbeds. Inspired by real-life mountain towns, Castor Woods is jam-packed with abandoned restaurants and shops, which you can explore and loot.
But Castor Woods is not all about nature - there's a big industrial area too, which Dying Light fans will find perfect for parkour, exploration and of course, valuable loot.
There's also the farmlands area, which is inspired by traditional European countryside, featuring farmhouses and wheat fields filled with zombies. The new setting certainly looks like one of the most beautiful and diverse maps we've seen from Techland so far, and I can't wait to start exploring it.
