Docked’s latest trailer highlights protagonist Tommy, strategic port upgrades, and supply chain management gameplay ahead of Saber Interactive’s simulator launch next week.

Developer Saber Interactive released another trailer for their upcoming management sim Docked today. Coming out next week, the new trailer goes into detail on both the game’s lead character and some of the simulated systems at play.

Docked looks to mix smart systems with personality and presentation.Tommy takes over management of his family’s outdated dockyard empire set in Port Wake.

Players play as Tommy and take control of his business as he works to transform his small port into a lucrative hub of logistics.Take a look at the new Docked trailer below and find out more of what gameplay will look like.

Rebuilding Port Wake From the Ground Up

Tommy starts off with a port that works okay, but could definitely use some improvement. Its docks are old and cramped with limited capacity to handle cargo, thus capping the player’s ability to expand until action is taken.

Improvements that can be made include:

  • Dock space
  • Loading efficiency
  • Cargo capacity
  • Infrastructure

These features all have obvious bottlenecks tied to them, so players will have to manage funds well if they want things to expand farther down the line.

Docked tosses in a little humour as well. Paying homage to a certain dockworkers folk song. There are also instances of the game breaking the fourth wall to place you inside Tommy’s shoes.

Graphically the game shines with intricate shipyards to explore, bustling harbor life, and satisfying lighting. Overall the game just looks like a management simulator that moves.
