Bungie revealed new details about Destiny 2 Season 8, dubbed Season of the Undying. At annual gaming convention GuardianCon, Bungie confirmed that the new season, which launches alongside with Shadowkeep DLC, will focus on Vex invasion.
Bungie team are at the annual gaming convention Guardian Con, where they have been showing and teasing some upcoming Destiny 2 content including the new Shadowkeep expansion and a brand new season that launches alongside the expansion in September 2019.
Dubbed, Season of the Undying, Destiny 2's eight season will focus on the Vex invasion of the solar system Bungie confirmed. Why are the Vex doing it is still a mystery and more story details will probably be revealed at a later date.
Apparently, Shadowkeep will bring at least two brand new storylines which will run during Season of the Undying. We know that the main story will focus on Eris Morn, plus the invasion of the shadows on the Moon.
Unfortunately, Bungie didn't share any additional details about Shadowkeep but they did reveal a couple of new screenshots of the Moon patrol zone. Destiny veterans will remember the place from the original game and will have the chance to revisit it once the expansion arrives.
Judging by the screenshots, it's a darker setting with creepy lightning with a gothic feel to it. A big difference from the Forsaken expansion that's for sure.
All in all, the new details about Shadowkeep expansion and the Season of the Undying look pretty interesting and it appears that Bungie are aiming for another excellent content addition that will satisfy the player base, just like Forsaken did.
