This is the studio's way to evolve the game and add new content, including some fan favourites from the past. Destiny 2: Year 4 starts on November 10, but the return of Cosmodrope and Europa's debut means that Io, Titan, Mars, Mercury and Leviathan all go the DCV.
Once a Destiny 2 destination goes into the DCV, it takes with it PvE activities and associated rewards, but there are some edge cases where Bungie wanted to be crystal clear.

The two will be a single experience come Year 4, and the new version will be a single round face off with tweaked blockers, heavier mote drain, and some changes to the Primeval fight.
