Arkane Studios' upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusive Deathloop will not launch in Q2 2021 as previously announced. Instead, the release date is set for September 14, 2021.
PlayStation 5 timed exclusive Deathloop has been delayed once again, Arkane Studios, the developer have officially announced via Twitter. After the first delay, which was confirmed back in August 2021, when Arkane stated that the game would launch in Q2 2021, the studio decided to push the release date even further into 2021 - September 14, 2021. Hopefully, this will be the last release date for this unique shooter.
"We're committed to quality and preserving our team's ambitions for Deathloop while ensuring the health and safety of everyone at Arkane," the team wrote in the announcement. "We'll be using this extra time to accomplish our goal: create a fun, stylish and mind-bending player experience."
Additionally, the team apologised to fans who have been supporting them during the development and promised to share more Deatloop soon, perhaps, at E3 2021, which is set for this June.
Arkane Studios have already said that the work on Deathloop has been slower than usual since most of the team had to adjust to working from home. It seems that the French-based studio have been hit pretty hard by the pandemic and we sincerely hope that everyone stays safe and deliver GOTY material in Deathloop.
Deathloop is in development for PlayStation 5 and PC but should also arrive to Xbox Series X in 2022.
