Troy Baker and Emily O'Brien have joined the cast of Hideo Kojima's Death Stranding. The duo joins Mads Mikkelson (Hannibal), director Guillermo Del Toro (The Shape of Water) and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead).
Troy Baker is a prolific video game voice actor known for his turn as Joel for Naughty Dog's The Last of Us, and as Talion in Middle-earth: Shadow of War. He also used his vocal abilities to bring Sam Drake to life in Uncharted 4 and The Lost Legacy, and is Batman/Bruce Wayne in Telltale's series based on DC's Dark Knight.
Emily O'Brien
Emily O'Brien is the one who made the announcement on Instagram. She posted a photo of herself with Baker and Norman Reedus. The caption read "Honored to be working alongside these two fine lads on Hideo Kojima's new project Death Stranding, I'm a lucky gal ;)". The post has since been removed.
Emily's most recent credits include Days Gone, currently in development at Sony's Bend Studios, and Arkane's Dishonored: Death of the Outsider. She and Troy Baker collaborated on Telltale's Batman: The Enemy Within. O'Brien's other voice acting credits include League of Legends, Telltale's Guardians of the Galaxy series', and World of Final Fantasy.
