Cult of the Lamb will soon be getting one of its largest updates to date with the upcoming Woolhaven DLC. The expansion is officially slated to release on January 22, 2026, with the release date and a new trailer being announced by publisher Devolver Digital and developer Massive Monster.
Characterized as a full-length expansion to the game as opposed to a smaller add-on, the DLC will be releasing on every platform the game is currently available on, which includes Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
Retailing at a price of $16.99, the update will feature a new region to explore, expanded lore surrounding the lambs' origins, and several gameplay systems that will provide a greater challenge for players.
Woolhaven expansion overview
Players travel to a mountain where a lost God is howling for help in the Woolhaven DLC. Centered on the restoration of a fallen settlement, the expansion allows players to delve into the long lost history of lambkind.
The player must rekindle the influence of Yngya, the lost God of the lambs, and face the blight of ancient sins that have polluted the earth in the process. Weather conditions are an important aspect of the expansion.
Blizzard storms and icy temperatures pose new environmental challenges to players, and they must adjust Cult management practices to keep followers alive from frostbite and starvation.
Key gameplay additions
Woolhaven introduces new mechanics and activities, including:
- New weather systems featuring snowstorms and extreme cold
- Additional structures designed to keep followers warm and alive
- A ranching system that allows players to breed animals for wool, warmth, and meat
- Mountable creatures that followers can care for within the Cult
- Two large new dungeons set in a storm-ravaged realm corrupted by the Rot
Availability and platforms
Cult of the Lamb Woolhaven DLC releases January 22, 2026 for $16.99 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on Steam. The player must own the base game in order to access the expansion.
