Darkflow Software, the developer of the delightfully refreshing Cuisine Royale, have decided to keep the game free throughout Steam's Early Access, announcing in the process new cosmetics for your underwear and cookware wearing characters.
Now I know what you're thinking - please tell me they won't go the way of PUBG, with too much cosmetics and too little work on the actual game? Well, that's most certainly not the case, because the dev has been diligently fixing things that the community asked them to. Unlike, ahem, you know who.
In fact, Cuisine Royale has just been updated to 0.0.7.116, where Darkflow did a bunch of tweaks, improvements and bug fixes. No more will players be breathing in cars submerged in water; bullets will lose speed through water and there's no moving with bulky, stationary machine guns.
Several bugs that affected loading times have been fixed and the map correctly shows names of villages on the map. Speaking of the map, Cuisine Royale's map will now show the direction your teammates are facing and there have been some improvements on spectator cameras as well.
As for the cosmetics, it's a humble start but Darkflow Royale are once again on the right track. Below you can take a sneak peek at the first Cuisine Royale skin and I cannot shake the feeling of the dev having a dig at both Battlefield V and PUBG with it, although it could be just me.
Considering that Cuisine Royale will remain free, the dev said that anyone who wants to support the development will be able to do so through the in-game store. Darkflow that plenty of cosmetics will be made available in the coming weeks.

In case you're not familiar with the Cuisine Royale saga, the game was born as an April Fools' joke, which the dev pulled while developing Enlisted. However, the sheer fun they've had at poking away at you-know-who seeped in through the code, and then some, providing us with plenty of hours of fun since. So, skins? Why yes, please!
