We wonder what PUBG Corp, the global saviour and galactic owner of all in-game cookware will say when they see Cuisine Royale, a hilariously themed battle royale that infringes on Greene and Co's aforementioned galactic cookware ownership.
You may recall PUBG Corp recently suing for their transgressions against the golden rule of interplanetary cookwareship, which states that cookware is PUBG's and nobody else's.
Unfortunately for Bluehole or whatever they're named this month, they're gonna need a bigger court because Cuisine Royale has more cookware than PUBG can shake its broken, anti-cheat stick at. And yes, it is used primarily for armour and shielding, which is exactly what PUBG's rulebook of gaming cookware standards and practices states.
Interestingly, Darkflow made Cuisine Royale as an April Fools' joke while maintaining their co-op shooter Enlisted, a joke which obviously more than stuck with the community. The dev prides itself on the "most honest" loot box system ever, all of whom are "free to open, their content is well labelled, and the drop chance of what is said to be inside is a 100% guarantee".
There's some clever battle royale oriented gimmicks in Cuisine Royale, such as medical droppers for health regen, glasses for increased accuracy and even chewing cigars, which lets you turn into a tough guy.
Unlike PUBG and Fortnite though, Cuisine Royale has 30 player teams that set out to kill each other on the map. Players will drop in butt naked, hopefully finding some cookware to cover up their nudity and get some armour.
We're talking about Steam's Early Access so don't expect wonders from Cuisine Royale, as there are still quite a few bugs to iron out. Having said that though, the game is gorgeous and runs pretty well, so it's no wonder fans are already calling it a PUBG killer - that's how fun it is.
True, there's still some clunky movement going on but it's clear the team had lots of fun while making it, which obviously seeped into the game. Note that the sudden popularity forced Darkflow to add more servers, which really makes us think. Can we see another PUBGinderella story here?

Note that the game is , when Darkflow plans on offsetting some of the development and server running costs by charging for the game. Nevertheless, you get to keep it if you jump aboard early, so it's well worth considering. Not you Greene, you keep your mitts off of our cookware.
