Activision and Beenox have rolled out a short trailer for their upcoming remaster Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, and it shows off the Electron Skins, which are the carrot that's supposed to persuade players into preordering the game.

You're looking at Electron skins of Crash, Coco and Cortex, and they each come with their own podium animations. That's, of course, if you choose to preorder Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

Now, the hit-and-miss success rates of various preorder schemes have made us steer clear of them, and we normally advise everyone to do the same, unless they really insist on throwing away money.

That being said, Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled looks every bit as exciting and fun as the original, not to mention immensely better looking.

Such is the nature of the human mind that most of the remastered tracks we've seen so far look exactly like our mind's images of Crash Team Racing's maps of old.

Of course, that's until you check and realise that the fun you've had doesn't necessarily coincide with visual fidelity, and we must admit that Beenox have done a wonderful job bringing the CTR content up to speed.

It's worth noting that even though Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled is a remaster of Crash Team Racing, Activision and Beenox decided to include the content from the game that followed the original too.

This means that Crash Nitro Kart content is there too, i.e. 6 game modes, 13 tracks, battle arenas and so on, and all of that in a modern visual package that's sure to give Crash racing a new lease of life.

Activision and Beenox have recently released a batch of screenshots , which do well to compare Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled with the original. You can check out the rest in our gallery below.

Activision will be hoping for yet another Crash-related success, as Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has caused such a splash that its physical sales were number one in the UK for eight weeks , which is well ahead of any AAA blockbuster in 2018.
