Sledgehammer Games revealed the new Divisions overhaul via a Developer Commentary video. The game will be getting some changes to its multiplayer systems with balancing weapons and the create-a-class Divisions system this time around.

Call of Duty: World War II will be getting an update come 10 April 2018. The developers talked about and revealed some of the changes that will be coming to the game which are mainly multiplayer focused balance issues.

This time around players will be getting the Divisions system overhauled. What that means is some of the specialised skills will be standardised, such as the SMG suppressor, shotgun incendiary shells and bayonet.

Primed Basic Training is also getting removed, with each Division getting the ability to add another attachment. The decision was made in regards to Primed being overpowered despite being nerfed before.

Those are not the only attachments that will be standardised as Sledgehammer aims to balance the Divisions which are less used and make them viable once more. What they have also decided to work on in this situation is the addition of a fourth perk to each Division.

Weapons are also getting looked at as well as movement in the game. The team seems to be more focused on bringing the original Call of Duty formula into the newest instalment, as they remove the limited sprinting and give every Division the ability to sprint forever essentially.

While the game's release wasn't exactly praised as the second coming, it still deserves merit if nothing more than for going back to its roots. Sledgehammer Games are continuing support of the game with frequent patches.

Call of Duty: World War 2 was praised for their brave and true depictions of the World War, but the game quickly reached a standstill in terms of playerbase as many instalments before it.

The shooter is a behemoth in the gaming industry and this instalment marks the 14th main game in the series. The reviews for it were not the best, however, as many critics and players alike found the game to be littered with lootboxes, paywalls and that it was relatively empty.
