It looks like the development of this year's Call of Duty game is not going well. Reliable insider Tom Henderson states that the game is a "fu*king disaster" to put it simply.
This year's Call of Duty is set to be another World War 2 game, according to recent rumours. The game is reportedly developed by Sledgehammer Games, who brought us the most recent Call of Duty WW2 game in 2017.
And while we wait for the official reveal trailer, which should be coming this summer, some new rumours have surfaced, stating that Call of Duty 2021 game could be in trouble. Reliable industry insider Tom Henderson states that the game is a "fu*king disaster" to put it mildly.
The insider did not elaborate but we assume this probably has something to do with the development challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic, which has hit the gaming industry pretty hard.
Some earlier rumours also suggested that this year's Call of Duty could be delayed but given that Activision have put most of their studios to act as support studios for Sledgehammer, you can bet the game coming this year.
More details about the development of Call of Duty 2021 will be revealed at a later date by Henderson and it will certainly be interesting to see what exactly is happening with this year's Call of Duty game.
As always with these reports, nothing is confirmed nor official so take it with a grain of salt, just like any other rumour, speculation or leak.
