Chivalry 2 devs have officially confirmed that their melee-action game will now be launching in 2021 with a simultaneous release on PC via Epic games Store, current-gen and next-gen consoles.

Another big title that was originally planned to release in 2020 has been pushed to 2021. Torn Banner Studios, the developer of Chivalry 2, have confirmed that their highly-anticipated title will now launch in 2021. Console players will be happy to hear that Chivalry 2 will also launch simultaneously on PC via Epic Games Store, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.

The devs explained their decision by saying that this additional time will help them develop Chivalry 2 to be "the greatest game it can be" and one that realises their vision of a true sequel to the original game. On top of this, they look to incorporate several quality of life improvements and also add what was originally post-launch content, in the release.

Expect to see more maps, game features and other additions that you'll get to experience on launch, rather than later on as originally planned. However, horses will be coming in a post-launch update since they need more time in the training stables.

Additionally, the devs are hard at work on the latest Closed Alpha build, which will be available to all testers. These are critical tests that will help the team gather important feedback and also expand the testing for future builds.

Last but not least, the beta that was planned for a Summer release will now begin at a later date.
