Following its less-than-famous exit from League of Legends, the Chemtech Drake is coming back in the next preseason with actually exciting buffs.
Chemtech Drake made its first League of Legends appearance alongside the Hextech one initially but both the regular players and the pros deemed it too disruptive in a way that favoured risk over fun and calculated player.
As such, Riot Games booted the green drake off the Rift and set to work on improving it in the background while the season went on with Hextech and the previous elemental drakes.
Now the Zaun-inspired objective is coming back and while it will significantly alter the map, it will no longer provide camouflage, which should cause a sight of relief for anyone reading this.
Instead, when Chemtech Drake alters the map, it will provide the following upgrades to the existing jungle plants:
- Blast Cone will knock champions away twice as far
- Honey Fruits will provide shields on top of the health gained
- Scryer's Bloom will reveal a circular area around it on top of the vision cone it provides upon being hit
- Players get a speed boost towards revealed enemes
- Revealed wards are reduced to one health
As for the buffs, the drake will now grant a small amount of Tenacity as well as heal and shield strength for each stack. Upon slaying four drakes, with the Chemtech Drake being the final one, the entire team will gain bonus damage when under a health threshold.
Unfortunately, the exact numbers are not known yet but they will soon be revealed when the PBE update happens on October 4, 2022.
