CD Projekt Red have dropped a ton of new details about the upcoming expansion for Cyberpunk 2077 called Phantom Liberty.
Last night, CD Projekt Red hosted Night City Wire, a Cyberpunk 2077 -focused livestream, where they revealed a bunch of new details and trailers for the upcoming Phantom Liberty expansion and 2.0 update.
We got to see a stunning new cinematic trailer, starring Idris Elba, who plays one of the characters in the upcoming expansion. The trailer is probably the best one yet, even though it doesn't feature any gameplay footage.
However, CD Projekt Red did share a bunch of other videos , which gives us a glimpse of the new locations, characters and action-packed gameplay as well as various builds that you can create in the 2.0 update.
Cyberpunk 2077 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty aims to completely transform the game with new features and many tweaks and changes to existing systems like the police AI.
CD Projekt Red promise that they have completely overhauled several mechanics to make the game feel closer to their original vision, which obviously was not reached with Cyberpunk 2077's initial launch, which was buggy and underwhelming in some aspects.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty expansion officially launches on September 26, for PC , PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S .
Phantom Liberty will cost $29.99 and you can purchase it separately or in a bundle with the base game. You can find more details about the editions here.
