Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has introduced a brand new multiplayer mode named Grind. It's a combination of Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint and the mode first appeared in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Publisher Activision and the developer Infinity Ward are continuing to add more fresh content to their latest shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. In the blog post over at the official website, it's been announced that Modern Warfare has a brand new multiplayer mode named Grind.
Now, the mode is not entirely new since it already appeared in the previous Call of Duty games but it's premiering in Modern Warfare. Originally introduced in Call of Duty Ghosts, the mode has been available in other versions with other names like Stockpile and Fracture. Grind, however, has its own set of objectives, rules, and strategies in Modern Warfare.
Grind combines rules from other modes - Kill Confirmed and Hardpoint - with the addition of multiple levels of tactics into already tension-filled modes. Kills in this mode must be confirmed by picking up dog tags from fallen players and taking them to an objective location to score points for your team. The objective rotates around the map making it even more of a challenge to earn points.
You can collect more than one dog tag as they are stackable, then deliver multiple tags to the objective at once. If you are killed while carrying dog tags, you will drop all of your tags, plus an additional one for yourself. It's safe to say that playing it safe once you have a bunch of tags on you is a viable tactic.
You can also collect tags of fallen teammates, similar to Kill Confirmed, to deny tag collection by the enemy team.
