Blizzard unveiled Rogue, the new class in Diablo 4, during BlizzConline and those who prefer fighters quick on their feet will likely find their home here.
Rogue is Diablo 4's dexterity class, described as an adaptable and agile warrior on the official website. The adaptable part probably refers to the fact that she can be proficient in using bows as well as dual-wielding melee weapons. While one might connect the word "rogue" immediately with daggers, she is shown to also be using swords in the trailer below.
Furthermore, she can imbue weapons to perform powerful combo attacks, visualised in the trailer when Rogue freezes a monster with her bow and then follows up with a shattering attack.
There are a few other tricks in her toolkit as well. Rogue can use poisons as well as shadow magic while she's zipping around the combat zone. The character's mobility seems to be one of her key traits so precise mechanics and quickness will likely be necessary to utilise her full potential.
AoE abilities may be missing from rogues in other games as they focus on dealing high damage to a single target but this one can make arrows rain from the sky to deal with pesky hordes of minor enemies. Overall, she seems to have an answer for every situation so as long as your wit is as quick as your hands, she will be your favourite character.
Then again, one might just prefer to smash everything up with the Barbarian instead.
