Diablo 2 Resurrected will not require a NASA PC to run but considering the basis of the game, it would be awkward if it did.

Blizzard revealed the PC specs that will be needed for Diablo 2 : Resurrected and the lower end of the spectrum isn't all that demanding. In order to run the game at 720p, you will need:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i3-3250 or AMD FX-4350
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 or AMD Radeon HD 7850
  • RAM: 8 GB
  • Disk space: 30 GB

As you can see, even old components that were middle of the pack all those years ago will be able to run Blizzard's nostalgia driver. Similarly, the recommended specs aren't too high for today's standards.

In order to run D2: Resurrected at 1080p, you will require:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • GPU: Nvidia GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT
  • RAM: 16 GB
  • Disk space:30 GB

Even the recommended specs include mid-tier components that are several generations old. GTX 1060, for example, launched half a decade ago and was just under the bar for the high-end GPU status.

Then again, Diablo 2 is over 20 years old so it would be awkward if the remaster asked for beefy specs, even though the graphics and numerous other aspects of the game were improved.
