Bioware have released a new Anthem patch which removes respawn restrictions and introduces some changes to loot system. On top of that, patch introduces stability and performance improvements along with fixes for various audio issues.
Anthem's latest patch is now live on all platforms and it introduces a couple of notable changes, mainly focusing on the loot and respawn timers along with some item balancing tweaks.
The biggest change included in the 1.0.3 patch is the removal of respawning restrictions. This means that respawn timers are now based on the activity a player is in.
For example, Crit-path, Agent Missions and other non-end game missions now have a respawn timer of 10 seconds while Strongholds, Legendary contracts and other end game missions have 30 seconds timer. For Freeplay, the respawn timer is unchanged.
White and Green loot drops or Common and Uncommon respectively will no longer appear for level 30 players. While this may look like a good move it turns out that white and green loot has been replaced by blue and purple drops which are equally useless at level 30.
According to some players on Reddit, the loot problem is in the high-end loot drop rates which got even worse with the new patch. Apparently, masterwork and legendary item drops are even scarcer now.
Along with loot and respawning changes, Bioware also listed performance and stability improvements in the latest patch notes. These improvements include fixes for a number of issues that were causing crashes or connection problems.
Furthermore, if you encountered weird issues that would cause audio to drop out completely, you'll be happy to hear that Bioware fixed a number of sound-related bugs.
As for the general fixes and improvements, Bioware listed plenty of them and they include a fix for a bug that prevented NPC interaction in Fort Tarsis, a bug that prevented players from entering the Forge while titan respawn bug has also been addressed among other things.
