Bethesda are celebrating the 25th anniversary since The Elder Scrolls saw the light of day and the company are giving away free codes for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind. You better hurry up though, as the offer is only for today.

It's been quite the ride for all the fans of The Elder Scrolls and it's hard not to feel old after considering it's been 25 years since we've first stepped on Tamriel.

Either way, Bethesda are giving away free codes for The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, which is available on PC and only today so you might want to hurry it along.

All you need to do is log onto Bethesda website or launcher and enter the code TES25TH-MORROWIND for your free copy. For what it's worth, it seems like Bethesda's server hamster is coughing a bit so you might have to wait a few more hours before it becomes available, which is so Bethesda it isn't even funny.

At the same time, Bethesda are dropping the Season of the Dragon and unleashing "winged terror upon the land of the Khajiit in the Elsweyr Prologue", which is free for all players of The Elder Scrolls Online.

In case you don't own The Elder Scrolls Online, you needn't worry as Bethesda got another celebratory freebie for you. Namely, the game is getting a free play period lasting from 28 March to 03 April.

The Elder Scrolls Legends, Bethesda's trading card game is part of the celebrations as well, and logging in gets you a limited 25th Anniversary card back along with three card packs, again for free.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition owners are getting the Nordic Jewelry Creation but if you're interested in completing your TES catalogue, you should know Bethesda included a bunch of discounts as well.

Considering that remastering old titles has been a pretty popular practice lately, Todd Howard was asked whether Morrowind could get a facelift.

He doesn't seem particularly interested though as he stressed that Morrowind is best left as is so get ready to install some mods once you've downloaded the game. Fablewind anyone?
