EA and DICE have just confirmed in EA Play Live show that Battlefield 2042 will get classic, fan favourite maps via its mysterious mode, which is rumoured to be called Battle Hub. This mode is still under [REDACTED] title on the official Battlefield 2042 website but some strong sources confirmed this mode will allow players to play remastered versions of the old maps.
DICE already mentioned that this "mode" is like a love letter to fans of the franchise.
Anyway, today we have a list of maps that could be available to players on launch. Insider Tom Henderson has shared the list via his Twitter and it's safe to say that hardcore Battlefield players will be happy to see some of the classics are included.

- Operation Metro (Battlefield 3)
- Operation Locker (Battlefield 4)
- Wake Island (Battlefield 1942)
- Siege of Shanghai (Battlefield 4)
- Arica Harbor (Battlefield Bad Company 2)
- Caspian Border (Battlefield 3)
As always with unconfirmed info, we suggest you take this with a grain of salt until we get more info. EA plan to reveal the mode on the EA Play show, which is scheduled for July 22, 2021.
