Bandai Namco announce My Hero Ultra Rumble, a My Hero Academia battle royale game

My Hero Ultra Rumble will be free-to-play and it's coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC at some point in the future. 

Bandai Namco have today officially announced a brand new anime game based on the popular anime series My Hero Academia. Named My Hero Ultra Rumble, it's a free-to-play battle royale game coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC via Steam. 

Bandai Namco also shared the first gameplay trailer and screenshots of the game, which certainly looks superb with a gorgeous anime style. 

The game does not have a release date but a closed beta test has been announced for the PlayStation 4 and will be running from August 18 to August 21, 2022. Pre-registrations for the beta are now open on the official website.

MY HERO ULTRA RUMBLE’s upcoming PlayStation 4 Closed Beta will run in two phases: 

  • Phase 1: Starts on August 17 at 7:00 p.m. PT, and ends on August 18 at 3:00 a.m. PT
  • Phase 2: Starts on August 18 at 7:00 p.m. PT and ends on August 21 at 11:00 a.m. PT

In My Hero Ultra Rumble will, players will join one of eight three-player teams as Heroes or Villains as they battle on expansive citywide maps. Players will get to control classic My Hero characters, each with their special attacks. Players can also contribute to their team’s victory by rescuing or intimidating civilians on the field to obtain powerful items that can determine the outcome of the battle.
