Ubisoft has teamed up with AMD to detail the PC features for its upcoming title, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
PC gamers will have the freedom to fine-tune various graphical settings, including Shadow Quality, Spot Shadows, Specular Reflections, Diffuse Reflections, Sun Contact Shadows, and more.
These options will allow players to tailor their gaming experience to their hardware capabilities and personal preferences. For a deeper look at these features, check out the accompanying trailer.
Benchmarking Tools
Similar to many Ubisoft titles on PC, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will offer benchmarking tools that allow players to monitor their frame rate and CPU/GPU usage.
This feature will assist players in optimizing their performance based on their specific hardware. AMD's FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 (FSR 2) will provide support for various resolutions and aspect ratios, including Ultrawide displays.
Nvidia users will also have access to DLSS, although the quality of its implementation is yet to be seen.
High Refresh Rates and Multicore CPU Support
The game will support high refresh rates, providing smoother gameplay for players with capable monitors. Additionally, it will be optimized for many-core CPUs, taking advantage of powerful processors for improved performance.
This combination of high refresh rates and CPU optimization promises to enhance the overall gaming experience on PC.
Frame Rate Expectations
Ubisoft hints that PC players can expect a "higher frame rate" based on their hardware and settings. However, it remains unclear whether this implies that consoles may not achieve a consistent 60 FPS.
Release Date
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to launch on December 7th, making its debut on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Amazon Luna. Notably, it will be available day one for subscribers of Ubisoft+ on Xbox and PC.
This inclusion in Ubisoft's subscription service offers additional value to players seeking to explore the immersive world of Pandora.
