Sniper Elite V2 remaster is on the way apparently and it's Australian rating boards that leaked it. The remaster will be done by Rebellion, so it's not a third party work, which should put some fans' mind to rest, or disappointment.

According to the latest leak from Australian rating boards, Sniper Elite V2 remaster will be rated as a an game, meaning potential buyers might need to provide evidence they are 15 years or older. This is mostly due to the violence and gore depicted in Sniper Elite series.

Some would argue that is the best part of Sniper Elite games as people seemingly of those nut shots. Precision rifle castrators are not the only reason why the game features so much gore as the Rebellion aimed to deliver a satisfying slow-mo experience for those who manage to master the art of sniping, without the use of the focus mode.

Anyway, the remaster will feature "very mild" nudity and mild language, but the rating has been propelled due to the violence which was rated as having a "strong impact". The happened on 24 December 2018 but there is no evidence or a hint when the remaster may be released or officially announced.

Those who joined the Sniper Elite fandom later will likely be relieved they will have an opportunity to enjoy the earlier iterations of a World War 2 testicle removal simulator in 4K. The resolution has not been officially confirmed by Rebellion or 505 Games, who will be publishing the game, but it 4K 60FPS has become the remaster standard these days and anything less will be a bit of a disappointment.

Sniper Elite V2 itself has been a successful game that almost everyone liked. It currently has 87 per cent positive reviews on Steam, despite the mediocre score of 66 on Metacritic. The Kill Hitler DLC was received with less praise though, as many fans found it to be too short.
