The official post-launch roadmap for Embark Studios’ extraction shooter Arc Raiders has been published, revealing the first wave of content arriving after the game’s well-received launch. The developers are riding high off of the game’s first week sales, which saw it rocket to the top of Steam’s best-seller charts, and are hyping up the future of Raiders set in the Rust Belt.
The first thing to note is that the roadmap teases plenty of future updates, including a new map, community events, new weapons and gadgets, and entirely new ARC enemies.
The developers have also pledged to keep adjusting the game’s balance and to iron out bugs as the game expands. As for what content players will see across the coming months, expect both gameplay and story content as the game’s lore is expounded upon in the future.
New Map: Stella Montis
Stella Montis will be the fifth playable map in the game, and the second dedicated to the Rust Belt. Akin to The Scar, players will have a fresh expanse of the region to explore. New terrain and hazards, as well as opportunities for high risk, high reward extraction runs.
Upcoming Events and Additions
- Community Events: New events with a special theme will take place in November and December. These events will feature limited-time challenges and rewards. These challenges will focus on teamwork, exploration, and friendly competition between Raiders.
- New ARC Machines: Encounters with new ARC enemies will be available soon, and they are more dangerous and unpredictable than before. These new machines will force squads to adjust and refine their tactics while also taking full advantage of their tools and gadgets.
- New Weapons and Utility Items: The 2025 roadmap also teased new weapons and utility gadgets. These items will add new tools to a Raider’s loadout to help them survive new encounters or add more flexibility in combat.
- New Quests: New story and side quests will be available soon, and they will provide players with more lore about the mysteries of the Rust Belt and what happened to the lost remnants of civilization.
Embark Studios has also committed to continued balancing updates, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements to keep ARC Raiders improving based on player feedback.
Considering a new Raider Deck battle pass is on the docket for December, ARC Raiders post-launch support will be frequent and quite sizeable.
