Arc Raiders is a newly released extraction shooter from Embark Studios. The game is currently available for purchase on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series S|X.
The world of Arc Raiders takes players to the barren land of Speranza, ruled by machines called Arcs. The region of Speranza is divided into five parts, which are the maps players deploy to.
While all of the maps are available at launch, there are some requirements players need to follow to unlock these maps in Arc Raiders. Here's how to unlock all maps in Arc Raiders.
How to Unlock All Maps in Arc Raiders
There are five maps in Arc Raiders, with a new map on the way for the next major update. Initially, players only have the option to play on the Dam Battlegrounds map. Other maps are locked behind some gameplay requirements, and here's how you can unlock them:
- Practice Range: 4 rounds
- Buried City: 6 rounds
- Space Port: 12 rounds
- The Blue Gate: 18 rounds
- Stella Montis: Complete the Breaking New Grounds community event.
The only way of unlocking the maps is by playing rounds or matches. As you complete your matches, these maps will be unlocked for deployment permanently.
Once Embark adds a new map, new players might need to complete a certain number of matches to unlock it. Until then, the only map available for all new players is Dam Battlegrounds.
For new players, it would be ideal to complete the rounds in Dam Battlegrounds, in turn mastering the game's basics. The Arcs in Dam Battlegrounds are less aggressive compared to other maps. However, the threat from other Raiders still remains the same.
Later maps like the Space Port and the Blue Gate are highly dangerous, as they are full of high-tier loot. So, make sure to slowly progress through the maps once you unlock them by familiarising yourself with the Arcs and map elements.
