Embark has today shared update 1.36.0 for ARC Raiders, which includes one of the most popularly requested features among players since launch - matchmaking changes.
The developers went through player responses from a survey back in May and have since altered how matchmaking functions in order to accommodate players’ playstyles.ARC Raiders will now track players based on their preferred playstyles in Solo, Duo, and Trio modes.
This essentially means that matchmaking will no longer consider someone’s behaviour from playing solo and duo as one singular player profile when playing trio matches, and vice versa.
Essentially, Embark says someone who likes taking things slow and easy going in solo may have previously found themselves thrown into more aggressive trio-gameplay based matchmaking.
Same goes for someone who likes rushing in with friends for PvP objectives - they may have been matched into different solo-gameplay based modes.
Players will now be able to switch between styles far more seamlessly.Embark went on to clarify that players will now be able to switch between playing peacefully, completing objectives, and farming resources to running into town or enemy squads solely for PvP in trio mode without being affected by their matchmaking behaviours in other modes.
Player behaviours will also be tracked separately for Duo-gameplay. Update 1.36.0 also includes a crossover event between ARC Raiders and The Finals. Players can receive the Azimuth Outfit and Archaeologist Backpack Bundle from July 9 to July 30.
