Apex Legends' highly anticipated, Bloodhound-flavoured event The Old Ways has finally landed, and Respawn once again prove they know how to shake things up. After being a rumour for the longest time, Prowlers are here.
In case you somehow missed it, today is the day when Duos and Kings Canyon are being permanently added to the game. Apex Legends' map selection will be via a fixed map rotation, rather than selection.
Respawn said that Duos so far had a positive effect on the game's health and reinforced teamplay enough to make the cut. Solos, on the other hand, are still off the table, as they made some Apex Legends characters almost useless.
As for the main change, Bloodhound Town Takeover is here, and it pits Apex Legends players against fearsome beasts from Titanfall games.
"Dive into Bloodhound’s Trials, where you and your squad battle against a horde of prowlers and claim high-tier loot as your reward. But beware the most dangerous game: fellow Legends who want to scavenge those goods for themselves", Respawn wrote.
Interestingly, the dev said that players' complaints about Revenant not being as viable as he should've have been confirmed by in-game data.
Therefore, the synthetic shinobi's Silence status effect is doubled to 20 seconds, it disables Gibby's Gun Shield, increases the duration of area of effect to 10 seconds and has two charges now. Also, Death Totem respawns characters with 50 health.
One of the items that were rumoured for the longest time are in, and we're talking about Blue bins. These will have a secondary compartment that can only be opened by Lifeline, and they'll have a mixture of health items weapon attachments and knockdown shields.
