Respawn have officially started the long-awaited Season 2 of Apex Legends and in case you haven't been following, we're getting a new legend called Wattson, Kings Canyon changes, Flyers and Leviathans, the L-Star EMG, and a bunch more.
Season 2 of Apex Legends' Battle Pass will set you back 950 Apex Coins, or alternatively 2,800 Coins should you opt for the Battle Pass Bundle, which Respawn claim is worth 4,700 Coins.
What's probably worth noting is that Respawn are planning to throw in a few challenging tasks. "As we've previously mentioned, we're endeavouring to balance gameplay purity with variety and fun, so none of this Season's challenges will require a YouTube tutorial to figure out", they said earlier.
Also added were Skydive emotes, unique loading screens, more Legendary skins and the dev mentioned that anyone who plays Apex Legends' Season 2 can earn the following free rewards: Season 2 stat trackers or each legend, five Apex Packs and the Wattson Hot Rod skin.
Apex Legends' new character is Wattson and we're looking at a standard price - 750 Apex Coins or 12,000 Legend Tokens.
- PASSIVE: Spark of Genius
Ultimate Accelerants fully charge Wattson’s ultimate. Standing near the Interception Pylon boosts Wattson’s tactical recharge rate.
- TACTICAL: Perimeter Security
Create electrified fences by connecting nodes. Fences damage and slow enemies.
- ULTIMATE: Interception Pylon
Place an electrified pylon that destroys incoming ordnance and repairs damaged shields [can place up to 3 Pylons at one time].
The new boomstick is L-Star EMG, an airdrop-only weapon that has an overheat mechanic and, much like other drop-centric weapons, comes with own limited ammo supply.
There are two new hop-ups, Disruptor Rounds for Alternator / RE-45, which increases damage to shielded targets, and Hammerpoint Rounds for P2020 and Mozambique, which does the same.
Last but not least are the new attachments - Energy Mags, which increase magazine capacity and increase reload speed at rare and above. It works with Havoc, Triple Take and Devotion.
Respawn rebalanced many of Apex Legends weapons and P2020 does an additional point of damage. Alternators got their recoil slightly decreased and they now deal 15 instead of 13 damage, whereas the Flatline is up from 16 to 19.
