Respawn have officially launched Pathfinder's Quest, the book about the poor tin can's search for his creator, and thanks to some kind Apex Legends fans, you can listen to the prologue here.
Of course, this is Pathfinder we're talking about, so while his plight may be sad in general, he goes about it in his traditionally jolly manner.
In fact, Pathfinder's Quest is guaranteed to make you crack a smile on more than one occasion, as his childlike innocence is endearing to say the least.
Apex Legends' grappler starts the story at the very beginning, around the time of Stories from the Outlands: Fight Night. We'll include the episode below, just in case.
Naturally, the tin can remembers the events a bit differently due to being offline for a bit, which makes his recollections of the past hilarious.
If you've seen Fight Night, you know that Pathfinder ain't much of a waiter, but that hasn't stopped him from doing it. And it turns out he's been doing a bunch of jobs, but sadly with similar efficiency.
Too optimistic for psychiatry - rocking too hard to be a musician - even the job of weatherman wasn't for him. The reason? He correctly predicted the weather. Yeah, seems about right.
And the reason why he even sought employment is that he broke his leg off of a person who was hoping to dismantle him into parts. Having spent a good deal of time travelling all over the galaxy, Pathfinder eventually met Mirage, and it was love at first sight.
We thought we couldn't love the Mirage & Pathfinder duo more than we do, but Respawn continue to surprise us. Heck, we're still reeling over Mirage's phone call with his mom, which is a masterpiece in every respect. It's really sad though - you've been warned.
