Apex Legends fans who've been following data miners are probably aware of Clubs, but Respawn now posted a lengthy explanation of the Season 7: Ascension's new feature.
"Clubs are a new social feature that make it easier to build a community and squad up for battle. More than just a secondary friends list, clubs are a way to keep in touch with your clubmates, see what they’ve been up to, and send club-wide party invites", the studio wrote.
Basically, we're talking about a clans or guilds feature, or whatever the name studios choose for larger groups of players trying to play together. Apex Legends has long been one of the most teamplay-friendly games around, despite being a traditionally one-man-army-centric genre. And if you don't agree with that, make no mistake that Respawn are the ones to thank.
Anyway, Apex Legends' Season 7: Ascension launches on November 4, 2020, when players will find a new tab in the lobby called Club. Clicking on it will present two options - one for finding a club, the other for creating one.
Creating an Apex Legends Club requires the usual stuff like the name, tag, logo and privacy settings. Note, however, that crossplay setting will dictate who can find your club - if it's off, only the users who also disabled it will be able to find and join your Club.
It's important to note that once you've joined an Apex Legends Club, your club tab will become your new club lobby. There, you can invite individual members to join your party, or invite everyone that's online.
Additionally, Apex Legends Club members can be assigned ranks, which are Grunt, Captain, Admin and Owner. Respawn made sure you can tell them apart easily, thanks to the badges you can see below.
