Creative Assembly are rolling out a hefty update to A Total War Saga: Troy, with the two flagship features being the new goddess, Artemis, and Photo Mode.
The 1.3.0 update has already started rolling out on the Epic Games Store, and it weighs in at 7.57GB, which is a good indicator that there's a lot of ground to cover.
First up is Artemis, who'll be added to the Divine Will screen with her own Cult level and Prayer effects. Prayer to Artemis allows for the recruitment of the Warriors of Artemis unit from Forest settlements and Penthesilea's Scout building.
A Total War Saga: Troy's new deity gets new Temple chains for standard and Horde factions, as well as region-specific Sacred Hunting Grounds buildings, although the latter are only available when starting a new campaign.
In tune with the mythical tale of Artemis and Orion, Orion agent is available for recruitment at Cult of Artemis level 3. Additionally, Artemis-related perks, skills and specialisations have been added across the board, which should make for more interesting subsequent replays.
There is a truckload of changes and balance tweaks in A Total War Saga: Troy's campaign, faction mechanics, UX and UI, but there are so many that we'll let you sift through them on your own. Most of them are relatively minor, but you know how it goes with strategies - it all adds up in the long run.
Some players had performance issues with A Total War Saga: Troy, though, so we'll list the performance fixes here:
- The longer end turn times and performance issues reported by some players have been addressed
- Fixed a rare crash that occurred when the cursor hovered over the Supply Lines effect icon
- Fixed a possible crash when opening the Diplomacy screen
- Fixed a rare crash when the Antagonist button had been pressed after the Antagonist’s last army died of attrition
