Obsidian Entertainment are skipping the easier way of creating a branching RPG experience with The Outer Worlds as they have decided not to introduce essential NPCs that are unkillable. If you feel like it, you can murder everyone.

PoE 2: Deadfire going turn-based soon

Obsidian Entertainment spilt the beans earlier when a leak hinted at a turn-based mode for Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, but they have now officially confirmed its existence and stated it will come in a free update on 24 January 2019.

Top 10 Steam's most wished for games

Steam has many search filters, but one of the more obscure is filtering games by top wishlists. After a quick glance, you can easily see that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Resident Evil 2 are the most wished for upcoming games on Steam.

Pillars of Eternity 2 will be on consoles

Obsidian Entertainment had plans for console versions of Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire before the studio was bought out by Microsoft and it seems the plans have not been shelved. It will come to PS4, Xbox One and Switch in 2019.

Obsidian released the last DLC for their isometric RPG Pillars of Eternity 2 Deadfire. The Forgotten Sanctum DLC is an expansive dungeon with a new storyline and the update also brings a fresh batch of fixes and many other improvements.

Many Fallout fans wished for another game in the series by Obsidian and the company will deliver, in a manner of speaking. The Outer Worlds is a game that looks a lot like Fallout and Borderlands series, but it also has, gasp, NPCs.

More than 10 games will be revealed at TGA

The Game Awards host Geoff Keighley has said that more than 10 games will be revealed during the show. Geoff didn't give any additional information about the games but one of them will be Alien: Blackout which was leaked earlier this week.

Obsidian's much obfuscated next project titled 'The Outer Worlds' is set for a proper reveal next week during this year's Game Awards. Retro-futuristic banners, a countdown, and a jingle have now appeared on the developer's official page.

Obsidian Entertainment has been having financial issues for a while, but the company never went bankrupt. Now, that threat might prove to be further away if the rumours of Microsoft obtaining the developer studio turn out to be true.

Obsidian have recently filed four trademarks for the title 'The Outer Worlds'. The community has speculated that The Outer Worlds will be the name of an unannounced project, headed and already teased by Tim Cain and Leonard Boyarsky.

Pillars of Eternity II to be a joint release

Obsidian Entertainment and Versus Evil will be teaming up to publish Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. The sequel has been decked out with more detailed graphics, deeper mechanics and a much bigger boat than its crowdfunded predecessor.

Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas both have updates pending according to SteamDB. These are not small updates that would fix bugs, since the one tied to Fallout 3 is 5,9GB in size and updates for both games are listed under the DLC tab.

Obsidian Entertainment and Versus Evil have announced their plans for the three DLC packs in Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire. Apparently these packs will be along the lines of classic expansions, adding lore, story and quests to the game.
