Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, the newest Souls-like action RPG from 505 Games, is a game whose bosses will definitely give you a hard time, especially if you're used to slow-paced Souls-likes where you're given a lot of time to react and devise a strategy; in this game, fast reaction is everything, trust us on this one.
The first boss in the game, provided you chose the path towards Mt. Zhenwu and not Cloudspire, that will employ this behaviour of constant attacking, is Bo Sorcerer, a main boss of the Mt. Zhenwu region.

Tips and strategies on beating Bo Sorcerer in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
The name of the game in this fight is "keeping the distance" from the boss. Bo Sorcerer will attack all the time, giving you little or no time at all to react, not even being able to pop up the healing flask if you keep too close to her during the fight.
As soon as the fight starts, she will open up with one of the attacks: a plunging attack or floating and sending four energy waves towards you. This second attack is your chance, and according to our experience, the only situation when you'll be able to punish the boss safely.
Keep your distance from the boss all the time, and she will be forced to launch this attack eventually. When she does, just run sideways and evade all four energy waves, after which she will plunge towards you. Learn the timing of the plunge, dodge it, and hit her back with the charged attack to stagger her. Doing this will take a considerable chunk of her health.
Remember, all the other attacks she launches must be evaded by keeping a distance from her. Watch the video above to see how we did it. Even when the boss enters the second phase, the strategy stays the same. She will have several new attacks, which can be easily dodged, provided you keep your distance.
