Most games feature an NPC that is iconic for either dialogue or impact on the game. The Grandpa plays an important role for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre family as he allows them to track down their victims easier.
Sumo Digital has equipped The Grandpa with 4 levels that can be achieved by feeding him blood. The faster the Grandpa gets fed, the faster he reaches his highest level which ultimately means that the victims can no longer hide from his vision by staying still.
The first level is achieved once the Grandpa had been woken up by either victims making too much noise or by the family feeding him before the victims get the chance to wake him up and this is where he starts altering the odds of the game.
Level 1 Grandpa starts detecting victims from time to time but they can still hide from his vision by simply standing still during his channeling.
Level 2 Grandpa has a reduced cooldown and spots victims that are further away if they are moving while he is channelling.
Level 3 Grandpa has a reduced cooldown and additionally can now spot victims that are hiding in the shadows if they are not standing still.
Level 4 is the final level that the Grandpa can achieve and at that point, his channelling ability is so strong that even if a victim was to stand still, it would still get fully detected during the channelling period.
