Star Wars Jedi: Survivor is all the fans have hoped for all these years while waiting for the Fallen Order's worthy successor. This Respawn Entertainment's action adventure definitely surpassed its predecessor in all segments, and everything that was good in Fallen Order was even better in Survivor.
Thus, the way to upgrade Cal's abilities has been set to a higher level. In Fallen Order, we upgraded our Jedi's abilities through only one common tier, and now we have three different tiers.
What's new is also an improvement to Cal's health and Force potency. If you're wondering how these two things can be upgraded, we can tell you how.
How to upgrade Cal's health and Force
The health and Force of our Jedi hero can be upgraded in two different ways: through the skill tree and through essences scattered throughout the game that count as one of the in-game collectables.
Killing enemies and beasts, as well as solving quests, will award you with XP points and ultimately upgrade points that can be spent on meditation spots. Now, if you want to upgrade your health, you should choose skills from the survival tree, and if you want to improve Cal's maximum Force, then choose the Force skill tree.
However, this is not the only way for you to upgrade Cal's health and Force. In Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, you will be able to find special Force containers that will have health and Force upgrades stored within them. To check how many of those are within each level, simply bring up the in-game map and press the square button (PlayStation). This action will show you which collectables you've already found and which ones are still missing. Essences are pretty hard to miss since they glow harder than other collectables.
